Nagaokakyo

I lived in Nagaokakyo-city, Kyoto prefecture, from 1997 to 1999. Here are few pictures of Omron Nagaoka ryou, the dorm where I lived, and some nearby sites. If you look really closely at the center of the balcony picture, you can see a low white building. That is Omron's Kyoto R&D Center, where I worked. (I recently checked Google Earth and couldn't find either building, so they may be gone now. Japan tends to change constantly.)

I didn't realize it when I took the picture, but the Tenkaippin building was going to be torn down to make way for a wider road. Since that was where I had my first meal in Japan, I'm glad I have the photo. They did build a new Tenkaippin restaurant near where the old one used to be. I also have some hana-mi (cherry blossom viewing) photos from Nagaoka Tenmangu, as well as photos of Den Den Town in Osaka. I'll post them if I can find them.
