Uma
Uma is my Dell XPS M1210 laptop
purchased in September 2006. Other than (crappy) work laptops, it's the
first laptop I've had since I bought Parvati
nine years ago. Since it's mainly used for travel, I wanted a small laptop,
but I still wanted a powerful machine, and the Dell is about the only option
out there. I'm really happy with it. It's the perfect size to carry around,
the battery life is very good, the WiFi works great, and it has enough power
for moderate gaming. It runs Quake 4 fairly well at low resolution, and it
does well on Half-Life 2 also.
Uma is another name for Parvati, Shiva's consort in Hinduism.
